Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani tidak terlalu risau dengan dana repatriasi dalam program pengampunan pajak (tax amnesty) yang akan mulai bergerak bebas pada akhir tahun ini. Stabilitas ekonomi nasional dinilai menjadi daya tarik penempatan dana tersebut.
Menurutnya, penempatan dana yang saat ini ada di Tanah Air tidak akan berubah banyak saat kewajiban menahan selama 3 tahun berakhir. Wajib pajak, sambung dia, akan berhitung ulang jika ingin memindahkan dana ke luar negeri karena peningkatan gejolak ekonomi global.
“Jadi mereka yang ikut tax amnesty, yang punya dana, mungkin pilihannya tetap ke kita. Jadi, [dana/aset repatriasi] tetap berada di Indonesia,” katanya dalam konferensi pers, Rabu (2/1/2019).
Menurutnya, kondisi di dalam negeri masih lebih menjanjikan di tengah ketidakpastian ekonomi global. Apalagi, jika dibandingkan dengan negara emerging market lainnya, posisi Indonesia masih lebih menarik untuk berinvestasi.
Posisi menguntungkan tersebut, menurut Sri Mulyani, lebih banyak ditopang oleh beberapa indikator. Beberapa diantaranya mencakup pertumbuahan ekonomi yang stabil di kisaran 5%, tingkat inflasi yang terjaga rendah, serta penerapaan kebijakan yang konsisiten.
“Cuma sedikit negara yang seperti Indonesia dan kita terus perbaiki aturan di dalam negeri supaya mereka tetap menempatkan dananya d dalam negeri,” imbuhnya.
Salah satu aspek yang juga membuat pemerintah tidak gusar terkait dana repatriasi tersebut adalah mulai berlakunya automatic exchange of information (AEoI). Dengan demikian, seluruh dana repatriasi sekitar Rp140 triliun dapat terpantau pergerakannya.
“Karena dengan AEoI kita tahu mereka akan ke mana. Mau di mana pun tidak ada masalah karena yang penting adalah kewajiban perpajakannya tetap terpenuhi,” imbuh Sri Mulyani.
