Dirjen Bea dan Cukai Heru Pambudi mengatakan Direktorat Jenderal Bea dan Cukai (DJBC) memiliki tiga dimensi untuk terus mendorong pertumbuhan industri di dalam negeri. Tiga dimensi tersebut adalah:
Dimensi pertama adalah kemudahan fiskal dan kemudahan prosedural bagi pelaku usaha. keduanya sudah kita jalankan. Salah satunya adalah post border control.
Dimensi kedua adalah penegakan hukum yang lebih intens dilakukan. Melalui pendekatan ini menurutnya sebagai bentuk keberpihakan pemerintah terhadap industri yang menjalankan bisnisnya sesuai dengan aturan yang berlaku.
DJBC akan melindungi industri yang baik-baik, yang taat pajak dengan cara penertiban dalam bidang kepabeanan dan bidang cukai. Hasil ulasan satu semester kemarin adalah kinerja yang baik karena DJBC sudah sepakat untuk melindungi yang baik kemudian memberantas pebisnis yang nakal.
Dimensi yang ketiga adalah memberikan perhatian khusus pada segmen ekonomi kecil dan menengah. Menurutnya, harus ada perlakuan berbeda antara pelaku bisnis kecil dan yang skala besar. Melalui kebijakan ini diharapkan dapat mendongrak tingkat kompetitif industri kecil dan menengah di tanah air. Dalam memperhatikan industri yang kecil, DJBC akan memberi kemudahan prosedural dan pemberian insentif fiskal. Hal ini guna mendorong Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) berkembang, sehingga ada perlakuan yang berbeda antara yang usaha besar dan UMKM.
Adapun tujuan utama dari kebijakan DJBC ini ialah bagaimana melalui kebijakan ini dapat meningkatkan investasi dan meningkatkan volume ekspor yang sejalan dengan komitmen pemerintah dalam bidang ekonomi.
